LOOKING AFTER EACH OTHER
The Pastoral Dimension
The Integrated ethos of the school permeates all aspects of the curriculum, and in particular, is reflected in pastoral care.
The relationship between a form class and the form teacher is central to the pastoral dimension of the school. Time is set aside for students and form teacher to reflect on experience, and to discuss achievements, challenges and problems. Every member of staff in the school fosters the pastoral dimension.
Our 6th form students train as Listening Ears to support and mentor younger students. The Student Council promotes involvement in the life of the school.
Our counselling service is available to all our students, and we make sure every student knows who to turn to.
Our Safeguarding team fosters the links with external agencies which keep our students safe, and provides training and updates for students, staff, governors and parents on internet safety.
